A little bit of footage here from a private booking, where I played at a wedding on The Isle of Sheppey, Kent in February 2017. I played before and after the ceremony, while people had drinks in the bar. The music was very well received!
Modern music, traditional style popular songs from all decades, and popular repertoire (French, Scottish, Irish and Italian).
Had a real blast today at a Day Centre in Harlow, Essex! This is a regular one for me, and thanks to the brilliant staff, we usually have a fairly full ‘dancefloor’.
Today was no exception!
Well, 2017 has had a busy start with a fairly major DIY building project. It seems to have turned out well, and I now have a functioning soundproof (ish) practice room right here at home!
Mainly, it’s a practice area, but I’m also planning to do a few videos too. Here’s my first quick ‘tester’ complete with faux-outdoors effects:)
A quick blast of Care Home classics as a first video, but more to come later.
2016 has been a very busy year for me, and I now feel a lot more established as a performer. I had a count up last week and realised I had played over 300 professional gigs in the last 12 months! The bulk of these performances are for the retirement community in Care Homes and Care Centres (252 to be exact!).
This year has been exciting in other ways too, and I’m very much looking forward to playing keyboards and being the Frontman of ‘The Sutes’, the wedding band. I will also be running this with the help of my good friend, drummer, and business partner Chris Callaghan. I have wanted to reign in all my keyboard work into a focussed project, and I think finally this is the one I can sink my teeth into!
2017 should be an exciting year of new people and new experiences, who knows what it holds in store! Perhaps I will even get to indulge in some new equipment – perhaps something like the lovely PIGINI P36 will finally make its way into my hands!
Happy new year !
I was feeling ‘Autumnal’ today after walking round the beautiful Chelmsford, in Essex UK. Thought I would record one of my favourite tunes ‘Autumn Leaves’. The music was originally written by Joseph Kosma in 1945.
I had a smashing review here from a catering company called ‘Original Crêpes’. They are lovely people, and make some wonderful food! I played a French Style party earlier this year, and they were there too. Have a look on the link below…
I must also thank photographer Tam Bartlett for her excellent shot!
I had the pleasure to play at a beautiful wedding last week in Rochford, Essex. I was made to feel very welcome. The couple wanted a mix of general ‘continental’ background music while they ate. I was pleased to get lots of nice compliments, and the couple were very happy after their lovely food!
Please get in touch if you’d consider something like this at your event. I can play a range of music, from modern covers to more traditional music.
