I had a wonderful time at Maldon Masonic Lodge this week, playing a set of traditional Scottish songs. The audience of 56 were singing at full voice by the end- I think we woke up the neighbours!

Loch Lomond, I Belong to Glasgow, Donald Where’s your Trousers were all received well, as was the ‘Scottish Pop Medley’. I even managed to squeeze in (get it?) a couple of Bay City Rollers hits from my days with Les McKeown…

However, the highlight had to be My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean, with spontaneous ‘hand linking’, and harmony singing. What a great night! A big thankyou to Bob Hendrie for booking me in, and to all the dinner guests for making me feel so welcome!
